The facility will support the entrepreneurial dreams of young Ghanaians engaged in import and export business and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The Vice Chairman of the Chamber, Mr Liu Wenmin, who made this known in an interview with the Daily Graphic, explained that the financial assistance would help as many young people in the country as possible.
  "We want business-oriented young Ghanaians to thrive and accelerate their determination to develop various businesses," he said.

Reducing cost
  Mr Wenmin, who is also the Secretary General of the Chamber, further revealed that support for the young local business people will reduce the cost of imported goods in the country.

  "There are more than 10,000 Chinese factories ready to supply these young business people in Ghana as quickly as possible to enable businesses in the country to flourish," he said.

 He stated that young entrepreneurs would be able to select good products from factories in China in the trade process and set up their own factories in Ghana to create more employment opportunities.
 
Background
  The Ghana-China Business Chamber of Commerce was established in 2003 to promote business and cooperation between the Chinese and Ghanaian business communities.
It is aimed at strengthening trade relations between the two countries and bring together importers and exporters from both countries.
