Global Warehousing Network, an international logistics company, has launched a virtual platform to facilitate global warehousing and logistics.
"The Warehousing.com" is a free registration platform that connects warehouse owners and property agents with global customers.
Mr Blaise B. Bayuo, Operations Manager, Warehousing.com, Ghana, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said it was a data-driven website that brought together global supply chain resources to create demand and supply, and help source logistical services more easily.
He said the outlet had become necessary following restrictions on human travel as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and that the platform hosted 8,000 warehousing and logistics services in over 140 cities globally, with over 75 million square meters of space available.
Warehouse and real estate agents are expected to list available spaces, which will be matched with demand from merchants.
Global Warehousing Network also provides users with free access to a robust warehouse management platform.
"The Warehousing.com platform is novel because of the number of partners and brands who have signed onto the platform and are offering quality services.
"With zero listing fees means that everyone with warehousing space can join and increase supply space, while making higher turnover," Mr Bayuo said.
"Over time, the goal is to cover both urban and rural areas to make it possible for merchants to order goods and services in the remotest of villages in any country", he added.
Global Warehousing Network is based in Ghana and Nigeria, and seeking to increase presence globally.
