MONETISING GAS AND POWERING AFRICA WITHOUT AID
Africa has proven natural gas reserves of 503.3 trillion cubic feet. Yet, across the continent, gas is being stranded or flared.
African Energy Chamber Executive Chairman and Oil and Gas Dealmaker NJ Ayuk is proposing a different approach: monetizing Africa's natural gas and putting it to work for Africans.
AYUK WANTS TO SEE AFRICAN COUNTRIES CAPTURING, STORING, TRANSPORTING, AND USING THEIR NATURAL GAS.
The results, he says, could be transformative.
NATURAL GAS CAN:
* Provide a natural feedstock for manufacturing
* Bring much needed-electricity to African households and businesses
* Create jobs
* Develop local expertise
* Reduce pollution
* And put Africans on the path to prosperity and stability--WITHOUT THE NEED FOR FOREIGN AID
In his new book, BILLIONS AT PLAY: THE FUTURE OF AFRICAN ENERGY AND DOING DEALS, Ayuk covers the vital importance of monetizing natural gas, along with proven steps African countries can take to get started.
Ayuk's book lays out a roadmap for countries to achieve the African Dream by taking control of Africa's oil and gas resources. It describes a brighter future for Africa with highly competitive African economies.
Billions at Play has earned the endorsement of leaders and industry experts around the globe.

"Mr. Ayuk's point about oil and gas being not an economic dead end, but rather a stepping stone, is provocative and intriguing."
GABRIEL MBAGA OBIANG LIMA, MINISTER OF MINES AND HYDROCARBONS, EQUATORIAL GUINEA
"It is incredible to think that in this day and age, there are nearly a billion people in sub-Saharan Africa without access to electricity, but that is a reality Ayuk does not shy away from. Rather than running from the problem, he puts forth a number of realistic solutions that anyone who cares about making Africa more self-sufficient will be eager to hear."
"Ayuk makes a solid case for the development of LNG facilities as a way to convert unused natural resources into potential profits."
– ERIC A. WILLIAMS, FORMER MINISTER OF ENERGY AND ENERGY INDUSTRIES FOR TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
