Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (+10.00%) led the charge with a gain of GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.11, pushing the GSE Composite Index up by 3.78 points (+0.17%) to close at 2,235.00 with a -13.11% year-to-date return while market capitalization increased by 0.36% to settle at GH¢56.89 billion.
The GSE Financial Index increased by 8.05 points (+0.42%) to close at 1,923.56 with a -10.69% year-to-date return due to ETI. The SAS Manufacturing Index recorded no gains or losses for the second consecutive session, closing at 3,765.33 with a -19.08% year-to-date return.
Trading activity weakened as 10,873 shares valued at GH¢16,743.60 changed hands from 87,496 shares valued at GH¢63,646.86 at the previous session. MTN Ghana (MTNGH) dominated trades by volume, accounting for 31.27% of total volume traded while Total Petroleum Ghana Limited (TOTAL) accounted for 41.35% of total value traded.
