There were no gainers or losers at the session as the benchmark index closed flat at 2,256.51 with a -12.27% year-to-date return. Market capitalization stayed at 56.95 billion.
The GSE Financial Index and SAS Manufacturing Index also remained unchanged today, closing at -9.20% and -17.78% year-to-date return, respectively.
Meanwhile, trading activity surged with 50,342 shares valued at GH¢48,156.64 changing hands from 11,039 shares valued at GH¢6,758.68 at the previous session. MTN Ghana dominated trades by volume and value, accounting for 84.54% of total volume traded and 61.90% of total value traded.
We expect activity levels to increase at the next session.
