The GSE Composite Index went up by 3.10 points (+0.13%) to close at 2,397.95 with a -6.77% YTD return while market capitalization increased by 0.05% to settle at GH¢58.76 billion.
The GSE Financial Index received a slight bump upwards by 5.87 points (+0.28%) to close at 2,069.59 with a -3.91% YTD return due to upward movement in Cal Bank Ltd that saw a +6.25% price change.
The SAS Manufacturing Index closed flat for the fifth straight session at 4,384.49 with a -5.78% year-to-date return.
Trading activity weakened for the second day in a row with 48,681 shares valued at GH¢36,850.78 changing hands from 56,975 shares valued at GH¢49,171.81 at the previous session. MTN Ghana dominated trades today, accounting for 73% of total volume traded and 69.75% of total value traded.
We expect trading activity to increase as investors regain confidence and take advantage of bargain stocks.
