A citation accompanying the award commended him for business acumen and described him as a motivation to all Ghanaian youth.
The citation also acknowledged the success and profitability of his businesses including the Afro-Arab Microfinance Company Limited, a tier-2 microfinance company licensed by the Bank of Ghana
Other winners at the awards held on May 4 included the Board Chairman of GOIL, Mr Kwamena Bartels who was named the “Outstanding Board Chairman of the Year 2018 as well as Dr John Ofori Tenkorang, the Director General of SSNIT, and Mr Santokh Singh, the Managing Director of Multi TV, who won in other categories.
"Many of the businesses that have been created some 20 years ago, are no more because the owners are not alive.
“Very soon the whole of Africa is going to be integrated, we have signed the Continental Free Trade Agreement and the only way Ghana can become competitive in the market is to have successful business ideas that can go beyond their owners," he stressed.
The awards programme was organised by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana.
