With such a move, he stated that Turkey could become a hub to serve adjoining countries with the nation's beautiful and high-value products.

Mr Nkrumah made the proposal on Tuesday, when Mrs Ozlem Ergun Ulueren, Turkish Ambassador to Ghana paid a courtesy call on the Minister.

He said exploring opportunities to ensure a two-way flow of trade between the two countries was one of the Government's priorities and that would strengthen the trade relations between Ghana and Turkey.

"Currently the import is mostly coming from Turkey to Ghana, but we need to get to a stage where products from here get there so that it will be a win-win," he said.

Recognising the successful nature of the industrial sector of Turkey, the Minister urged Turkish industries to consider investing in the industrialisation sector of the country to add value to agricultural produce.

Mr Nkrumah said the resurging of the Ghanaian economy had opened up capital market with many products including; EURO Bond that were floated on the market with safety and encouraged Turkish investors to patronise such products.

Mrs Ulueren, said considering the long-standing relations Ghana had cultivated with Turkey, her country was determined to be a development partner of Ghana.

She recounted that construction companies had invested half a million and plans were advanced in increasing it to a billion dollars adding that the success of companies were positive signals that Ghana was a great investment nation.

'Karpowership had been producing a considerable amount of power for the country and that was a positive indication that the country was ready to support the Ghana Beyond Aid vision. We see many opportunities in agriculture and tourism," she said.
