Standard Chartered Bank (-1.59%) declined by GH¢0.34, dragging the financial index down by 5.15 points (-0.24%) to close at 2,496.91 with a -2.93% year-to-date return. Manufacturing stocks recorded no gains or losses at the session, closing at 4,646.03 with a -0.16% year-to-date return.
Activity levels weakened with 141,326 shares valued at GH¢212,089.82 changing hands from 230,752 shares valued at GH¢273,519.03 recorded at the previous session. Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) dominated trades by volume, accounting for 42.10% of total volume traded while Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) accounted for 60.30% of total value traded.
