Beauticians in the Sunyani Municipality are making good money as demand for their services goes up with the approach of Christmas. Many of them, who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said there were seeing tremendous increase in the number of customers visiting their salons and shops.
Compared with same period, last year, things were far better, they added.
They said because of the high demand for their services they had been working deep in the night. Madam Ruth Boatemaa, a popular seamstress, said the customers had been coming in droves, making her to work overtime.
The story of Janet Ansu, a hairdresser, was not any different. She had lost count of number on clients, who had been visiting her salon daily to style their hair. Food sellers at the Bosoma Market, however, complained of low sales, although prices remained relatively cheaper.
They, however, expressed confidence that sales would pick up in the Christmas week.
