The Kwahu Afram Plains North District Assembly has improved the outlook of road in the district by reshaping most feeder roads in the area.
The projects covered a five kilometer road from Kamalo to Anidzi, Mem- Chemfre to Caterpillar Tornu, Attakora to Anikaso and Donkorkrom to Asikasu.
Speaking at the Assembly's General meeting held at Donkorkrom, Mr Samuel Kena, the District Chief Executive, expressed concern about the deplorable nature of roads in the district adding that with the its limited resources, it has allocated funds to help develop more access roads in the area.
He said many of the roads in the district were awarded on contract by the previous government but the contractors have refused to work on the projects and the assembly is doing all it could to trace those contractors to get them to start work as soon as possible.
Some of the roads that have been awarded on contract include the Donkorkrom to Kwaekese, Donkorkrom to Abotanso and Donkokrom to Adiemmra roads.
He said the assembly was doing all it could to ensure development in the area and urged the people to fulfil their obligations by paying their rates and fees.
Mr Kena entreated the assembly members to see to it that development projects extended to their electoral areas were properly monitored to ensure early completion.
