Nicola Kassier is a master life coach, counsellor and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner and the founder of Continuous Growth Life Coaching Pty (Ltd). The niche areas in which she works are personal development coaching, career development coaching, student and girls’ development coaching, individual and group counselling.

She is passionate about making a significant, positive difference in peoples’ lives. She assists individuals in unlocking their true potential and empowering them with the necessary skills and tools needed to accomplish anything they believe they can achieve both personally and professionally.

Here is what Nicola Kassier from Continuous Growth Life Coaching had to say about success and overcoming tough times in business.

When did you consider yourself a success?

I considered myself a success from the first day I started my business. I am highly qualified with a master’s degree in clinical pastoral care and counselling and I have extensive experience in the field of psychology, coaching and counselling. Over the years I have had many personal challenges which I consider life lessons and have only made me into the person I am today.

To what do you attribute your success?

Success is not something one achieves once. I believe success is a constant journey and when one gives one’s best, seizes every opportunity and learns from life, one can only be successful. Success is not only seen in one area of life but from more of a holistic point of view. Being content with your life and how you handle life is success in itself.

 What failure taught you the most about your business and what was the lesson?

I believe that there is no such thing as failure but rather finding the lesson and teaching in that which was difficult. One thing that I have learnt is that one needs to have a business plan. I went for 18 months with no business plan which I now see was wrong because your business plan is the foundation of your business. Without it you cannot define what your business stands for, know what your short term and long term goals are, and where you need to make improvements on or in your business.

What was your best moment in business to date?

 My best moment in business to date happened at the beginning of July 2018 when I was chosen as a finalist in the Margaret Hirsch Business Woman Achiever of the Year Award. The gala dinner will be held on 2 November 2018 where the winner and runner-up will be chosen.

What drives you to keep going when it gets tough?

My “why” drives me when times get tough. Keeping in mind why I do what I do and how my work benefits me and how rewarding coaching can be, drives me to keep on going.

What are your success habits?

My success habits include praying and keeping the faith even when life seems unstable and my business is struggling. As mentioned above, knowing my “why” is a driving force in my success as it motivates me to carry on. In addition, “to constantly growing and learning” is one of my life mottos, so I find a way to read more, go on courses and attend workshops to improve and develop my personal self and my business.
