Mr Mohammed Aminu Osman, Chief Executive Officer of Karima Multi Company Limited, said it is important for the youth to show keen interest in exploring the various government initiatives as job opportunities abound.

Mr Osman was speaking to Ghana News Agency in Kumasi at the weekend.

He said it is unfortunate that many young people after graduating from the universities continue to look up to government for non-existing jobs.

This, he said, has compounded the unemployment situation in the country.

Mr Osman said "governments over the years have failed to create ready jobs for the youth and that it is incumbent upon us to take our destiny into our own hands".

He said entrepreneurship guided by prudent financial management and discipline was the surest way for one to get out to start his own business.
