Leading Nigerian Vocational Institute, Gazzelle Academy Vocational Centre has partnered Fidelity Bank Plc and the Kebbi State Government to host another Edition of the Fidelity Youth Empowerment Academy, a free 5 day Skill Acquisition, Digital Media and Enterprise Training Programme which is happening in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
The Event which is the first in the north of Nigeria has also been endorsed and supported by the First Lady of host State, Kebbi State, Her Excellency Dr Zainab Atiku Bagudu.
The training which is hosted at the New Auditorium of Gesse Campus, Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic commenced yesterday and will last until 15th October 2016 and will empower over 500 participants as it is opened to youths who are looking for skills in Fish Farming, Tailoring, Stoning, Makeup and Bead Making.
After various vocational training, the students will be trained on digital media and marketing to enable them to push their brands and products online with the support of the SSA New Media, Kebbi State.
Ultimately, participants will receive start-up packs and will also be privileged to access funding for their businesses through Fidelity Bank.
The training programme was declared opened by the representative of the Governor, Commissioner of Higher Education, Alhaji Abdullahi Maigari Dakingari.
Others in attendance at the event were the representative for HRH the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar (Wazirin Gwandu), Ag. Rector of the Polytechnic, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Aliyu, Fidelity Bank representative Nnamdi Okonkwo, SSA New Media to the Kebbi State Governor, Aisha Augie-Kuta and Muna Onuzo, Founder Gazzelle Vocational Academy.
