Techiman Municipal Assembly in September collected GH580,307.70 out of an estimated internal revenue of GH1,051,570 for the year.
The amount represents 55 per cent of the total revenue expected.
Mr Alex Kofi Kyeremeh, Municipal Chief Executive, made this known at the last meeting of the Assembly at Techiman.
He described the performance of the Assembly as not encouraging and indicated that the operation and functions of the body largely depended on the availability and quantum of revenue.
Mr Kyeremeh therefore stressed the need for the Assembly to redouble efforts in revenue generation for the completion of more development
projects.
Touching on expenditure, Mr Kyeremeh said the Assembly expended GH3,447,912.20 on development and capital projects, salaries and recurrent outflow.
The MCE said the Assembly was committed towards development and some of the projects on contract were a CHIP-compound clinic at Atresu-Ayeasu, three-unit classrooms at Kuntunso-Tadeso and completion of another three-Unit classroom block at Kenten.
He said the District had received GH179,000.00 as its share of the District Assemblies' Common Fund for the second quarter.
The Assembly approved its annual estimate of GH690,760.00 for the year.
