Job Description :
Greet and Seat Customers: Welcome customers as they arrive and guide them to their table.
Present Menus: Provide menus and offer recommendations based on customer preferences or specials.
Take Orders: Accurately take food and beverage orders from customers.
Relay Orders: Communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently.
Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests.
Handle Payments: Present checks, process payments, and provide change or receipts as needed.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep tables clean and tidy, wipe down surfaces between customers, and help with general restaurant cleanliness.
Assist with Setting Up: Help set tables, restock supplies, and prepare dining areas for service.
Work with Team: Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Follow Health and Safety Guidelines: Adhere to food safety standards and restaurant policies regarding cleanliness and safety.
Upsell Menu Items: Suggest additional items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks to increase sales
Qualifications:
Prior experience in food service or customer service is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining professionalism.
Skills:
Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy in order-taking and delivery.
Basic math skills for handling payments and checking out customers.
Physical stamina to be on feet for long periods and carry heavy trays.
Working Conditions:
May require standing for extended periods.
Work may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on restaurant hours.
Often involves teamwork in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety and restaurant etiquette.
