To deliver high-quality English Language instruction to students, equipping them with strong reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills, while fostering a love for the English language and preparing them for national and international examinations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum and national standards (e.g., BECE or Cambridge/GES framework).


• Teach English Language, Literature, and Composition to students.


• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment tools.


• Use diverse instructional strategies and resources to support different learning needs and styles.


• Prepare students for internal and external exams, including mock, BECE, and Cambridge checkpoints.


• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.


• Provide timely feedback and communicate regularly with parents and guardians on student performance.


• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation.


• Integrate ICT and educational technology into teaching where appropriate.


• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.


• Uphold the school’s values, policies, and code of conduct at all times.
