JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Cash Sales Executive to join our sales team in a leading detergent and soap manufacturing and distribution company. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving product sales directly to retail outlets, small businesses, and end-users while handling cash transactions efficiently and ensuring timely remittance.
This role is field-based and requires a motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and a deep understanding of customer service and route sales operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales and Customer Service
- Sell the company’s full range of soap and detergent products directly to retailers, wholesalers, and other customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients within the assigned territory.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets as assigned by the Sales Supervisor.
- Educate customers on product features, pricing, and promotions.
2. Cash Handling and Reporting
- Collect payments (cash or mobile money) from customers for all sales made.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of daily cash sales.
- Remit daily cash collections to the company’s designated account or cashier without fail.
- Maintain and submit accurate sales and cash collection reports at the end of each day.
3. Market and Territory Management
- Visit assigned routes daily and ensure full coverage of designated sales areas.
- Monitor stock levels in the market and report competitor activity or customer feedback.
- Identify and follow up on new sales opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Ensure proper merchandising of products at customer outlets.
4. Stock Control and Vehicle Management
- Ensure proper loading and offloading of products.
- Maintain accurate stock records, ensuring zero stock loss or damage.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the cash van.
