JOB SUMMARY
Our client, a leading soap and detergent manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a dynamic
and results-driven Cash Van Sales Supervisor to oversee and optimize our cash van sales operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of cash van sales representatives, ensuring
efficient product distribution, achieving sales targets, and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
This role requires strong leadership, sales expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT
1.Team Leadership:
-Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cash van sales representatives to achieve sales
targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
-Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, sales strategies, and performance
expectations.
2.Sales Target Achievement:
-Develop and implement sales plans to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual
sales targets.
-Monitor sales performance and provide actionable insights to improve results.
3.Route Planning and Optimization:
-Plan and optimize cash van routes to ensure efficient product distribution and maximize
sales opportunities.
-Ensure timely delivery of products to customers while minimizing operational costs.
4.Customer Relationship Management:
-Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including retailers,
wholesalers, and distributors.
-Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
5.Product Knowledge and Merchandising:
-Ensure the sales team is well-versed in product features, benefits, and promotions.
-Oversee product merchandising at customer locations to enhance visibility and sales.
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT:
6.Inventory Management:
-Monitor stock levels in cash vans and ensure adequate inventory is available to meet
customer demand.
-Coordinate with the warehouse team to replenish stock as needed.
7.Cash Handling and Accountability:
-Ensure accurate and secure handling of cash and payments received from customers.
-Reconcile daily sales and cash collections, and submit reports to the finance department.
8.Vehicle Maintenance:
-Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of cash vans to ensure they are in good working
condition.
-Report any vehicle issues to the logistics department/mechanics for timely repairs.
9.Compliance and Reporting:
-Ensure compliance with company policies, sales procedures, and legal regulations.
-Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT
10.Sales Data Analysis:
-Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
-Implement strategies to address underperforming areas and capitalize on strengths.
11.Training and Development:
-Provide ongoing training and coaching to the sales team to enhance their skills and
performance.
-Identify high-potential team members and support their career growth.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
1.Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
2.Experience:
-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably in the FMCG
(Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
-Proven experience in managing a sales team and achieving sales targets.
3.Skills:
-Strong leadership and team management skills.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in sales data analysis and reporting.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
