JOB PURPOSE
The Procurement Officer shall be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing high-quality goods and services required for daily restaurant operations. The role ensures cost-effective procurement, maintains supplier relationships, and supports smooth operational flow while upholding the restaurant’s standards for quality, freshness, and reliability.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Source, negotiate, and purchase food items,
Work closely with the Kitchen and Bar teams to monitor stock levels.
Prevent stock-outs by ensuring timely replenishment of high-demand items.
Support monthly stock-taking and reconcile discrepancies with relevant departments.
Track consumption trends to anticipate future procurement needs.
Negotiate prices to ensure maximum value for money while maintaining quality.
Monitor and control procurement expenses to remain within approved budgets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product standards.
Ensure all procurement processes follow internal policies and hospitality industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, approvals, and supplier communications.
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and regulatory guidelines when purchasing raw materials.
Coordinate with chefs, bar managers, and floor supervisors to understand their supply needs.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to avoid operational disruptions.
Address and resolve procurement-related issues (damaged goods, late deliveries, shortages).
