Job Purpose
Job Purpose
- The role of a Field Coordinator is to organize, manage and complete consumer research studies within the required time, approved budget, and to the required quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities and deliverables
Project Briefing
- Ensure project briefs supplied by Research Executives are well understood by Supervisors, team leaders and interviewers.
- Ensure proper piloting of study and detailed reports (including actions agreed and translation corrections)
Fieldwork Planning
- Prepare Fieldwork budgets for approval by the Operations Manager
- Carry out or Supervise Translation and printing of the questionnaire.
- Preparation of stimulus materials supplied by Research Executive.
- Organization of interviewers’ schedules to achieve the most effective use of their time so each study is completed on time.
Fieldwork Quality Control
- Ensure strict adherence to brief, methodology and common approach on administration of the questionnaires.
- Close checks on fieldwork progress, supervisors including accompanying interviewers. To Ensure at least 5% accompany
- Ensure daily back-checking and review of scripts to ensure highest standards of fieldwork. Ensure 20% back-checks and 10% accompaniment in field.
Capacity Building
- Recruitment and training of interviewers based on the Field Manual.
- Basic training.
- Training on specific projects.
- Recruitment and training of fieldwork supervisors based on the Field Manual.
- Basic training.
- Training on specific projects.
Field Budgeting and Cost controls in the field
- Prepare Field budgets for approval by the Field Manager
- Monitoring of fieldwork costs and confirm from independent sources various cost.
- Reconciliation of all field expenses after project completion
Reporting
- Writing final field reports
- Report to the Operations Manager on a direct line.
- Weekly reports will be needed that reflect the current projects being handled in terms of Quality Checks figures achieved
- Should give a supervisor appraisal rating report at the conclusion of each project
Communication:
- Proactively seeks feedback on written and verbal communication style

- Have experience in data collection qualitative recruitment & other field activities
- Have experinece in Ipsos data collection Platform - iField
- Good communication skills
- Ability to multi-tasking.
- Must be proficient in the use of powerpoint, Microsoft excel, and Microsoft word.
- Must be ready to travel outside Accra within very short notices
- Must be trustworthy.

Qualifications and Professional experience required
- Must have tertiary education. A degree in any field is preferable
- Candidates must have product and concept test experience for at least 5+ years
- Fluency in both written and spoken English language
