Job Description: PET Collection Coordinator
Location: Central Region/Takoradi/Kumasi/Eastern Region/Accra
Department: Environmental Operations
Reports to: Regional Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated PET Collection Coordinator to oversee and manage the collection of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) materials in the Tamale and Cape Coast regions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating collection activities, managing relationships with collection points, and ensuring efficient and effective operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collection Operations:
- Coordinate the collection of PET materials from various collection points within the Tamale and Cape Coast regions.
- Develop and implement collection schedules to ensure timely and efficient pickups.
- Monitor the quantity and quality of collected PET materials to meet company standards.
- Ensure proper handling and transportation of PET materials to prevent contamination and damage.
- Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with collection points, including local businesses, communities, and recycling centers.
- Provide support and guidance to collection partners to enhance their collection processes.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by collection partners in a timely manner.
- Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities, including quantities collected, transportation details, and any discrepancies.
- Generate regular reports on collection performance and provide insights for process improvements.
- Utilize data to monitor and optimize collection routes and schedules.
- Community Engagement:
- Educate and raise awareness within the community about the importance of PET recycling and proper collection practices.
- Organize and participate in community events and initiatives to promote PET collection and recycling.
- Collaborate with local authorities and organizations to support environmental sustainability efforts.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and company policies related to PET collection and recycling.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect staff and partners during collection activities.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for collection teams.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving collection efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance PET collection operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate collection activities into broader environmental and operational strategies.
