Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Building Technology, Estate Management or a related field. Relevant professional certification in Facilities Management, Health and Safety, or Maintenance Management is an added advantage. Previous experience (3–5 years) in facilities or operations management, preferably in a school or educational institution. Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to schools. Computer literacy, including the use of facility management software, Microsoft Office, or similar tools.

• Cleaning and Sanitation Management; Oversees daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, washrooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic learning environment. This includes supervising cleaning staff, managing waste disposal, and ensuring compliance with health and sanitation standards.


• Maintenance and Repairs; Responsible for routine and corrective maintenance of school buildings, furniture, equipment, and utilities (electricity, plumbing, HVAC). Ensures facilities are functional, safe, and well-maintained to support teaching and learning activities.


• Security Management; Ensures the safety and protection of school property, staff, and students by supervising security personnel, controlling access to school premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and enforcing security protocols.


• Health, Safety, and Risk Management; Implements and monitors health and safety policies, including fire safety, emergency preparedness, first aid arrangements, and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Works to minimize risks and hazards within the school environment.


• Facility Planning and Space Management; Manages the effective use of school facilities and spaces, including classrooms, laboratories, playgrounds, and halls. Coordinates room allocations, supports school events, and plans for facility improvements or expansions.


• Vendor, Inventory, and Resource Management; Manages relationships with external service providers (e.g., maintenance contractors, cleaning suppliers), oversees inventory of facility-related materials, prepares budgets, and ensures cost-effective use of resources.
