About the role

Our farm is a 14,000 bird layer farm, we are looking for an Experienced Poultry Farm Manager to work with us. Our farm is a commercial, mechanized broiler breeder, and laying farm based in the Eastern Region, Ghana. This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding and fully automated and integrated agricultural process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the farm and its team and will report to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring all aspects of running the farm are met and all employee daily responsibilities are completed on time.


• Maintaining safe working practices and working environment.


• Managing and motivating the team


• Ensuring welfare of livestock


• In charge of  egg collection, ventilation management, feed management, vaccinations,


• Production performance


• Proper record keeping


• Production of daily production and stock report


• General maintenance of clean environment;

QUALIFICATION/SKIILS

• Minimum 8 years working experience in a similar role


• Minimum educational requirement BSc. Degree in Agriculture or Animal Science


• Working experience in a mechanized farm is essential


• Experience in poultry stockmanship is desirable


• Experience in feed making is essential


• Effective people management skills


• Ability to carry out manual duties


• Proficient computer skills


• Must exhibit passion for the job. 


• Must have good contacts of egg and chicken customers
