Job Title: Station Attendant
Department: Operation
Reports Directly to: Station Supervisor / Shift Lead
Location: Nsawam Road
JOB SUMMARY
The Station Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining station cleanliness, ensuring smooth daily operations, and supporting the safe and efficient functioning of the station. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Customer Service
a. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
b. Provide directions, information, or support as needed.
c. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly.
2. Operations & Monitoring
a. Monitor station equipment and report faults immediately.
b. Assist in managing queues and ensuring orderly customer movement.
c. Perform basic operational checks on station systems (e.g., pumps, platforms, ticketing devices depending on the station type).
3. Safety & Compliance
a. Ensure all safety procedures and standards are followed.
b. Report hazards, incidents, or suspicious activities to the supervisor.
c. Assist in emergency procedures (evacuation, crowd control, etc.).
4. Cleaning & Maintenance
a. Ensure the station premises are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
b. Perform routine cleaning of high-traffic areas, restrooms, and customer waiting zones.
c. Refill supplies (sanitizers, paper products, cleaning items).
5. Administrative Support
a. Maintain logs of daily activities, incidents, or operational challenges.
b. Assist in inventory checks and supply requests.
c. Support ticketing/cash handling duties if required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
a. SHS certificate or equivalent (higher education is an advantage).
b. Strong customer service and communication skills.
c. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays.
d. Basic understanding of safety protocols.
e. Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
f. Previous experience in customer service, operations, or station management is an advantage.
g. Ability to lift up to 15kg occasionally
