Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations within the Tema Free Zones facility, ensuring efficient output, quality compliance, safety adherence, and conformity with Free Zones Authority regulations. The role involves supervising production teams, coordinating resources, and driving continuous improvement to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily production activities to achieve planned output, quality, and efficiency targets.
Ensure compliance with Free Zones Authority (GFZA) regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
Allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively to optimize production efficiency.
Monitor production processes to ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications.
Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards within the production area.
Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
Prepare and submit daily production reports, shift reports, and other required documentation.
Supervise, train, and discipline production staff to maintain productivity and workplace discipline.
Ensure proper housekeeping, 5S, and GMP standards are maintained at all times.
Monitor raw material usage, control waste, and support cost-reduction initiatives.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks by regulatory authorities.
Qualifications & Experience
HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in plastics, rPET, packaging, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing is an added advantage.
Prior experience working within a Free Zones environment is highly desirable.
