Position Overview:

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The technician will work under the supervision of electricians or engineers to ensure that electrical systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

 Key Responsibilities:

Installation: Install electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in accordance with local codes and safety standards. This includes lighting, power systems, transformers, outlets, and circuit breakers.

Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical problems using testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit analyzers. Troubleshoot and repair faulty wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, repair records, and material usage.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other technicians to plan electrical systems and assess project requirements.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all tasks to ensure a safe work environment.

Component Replacement: Replace defective components, wiring, and fixtures as necessary.

Customer Interaction: Interact with clients and provide guidance on electrical needs and safety practices.

Skills

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
