Qualifications
A degree in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree with at least one year experience preferred however we will consider strong candidate with Bachelors degree and minimum of two (2) years of experience.
Energetic, dynamic, and committed individual with experience running an organization or department who is prepared to put in the work required to establish a start-up business. Must buy into the company’s vision to provide a facility that preserves the dignity, nurtures the spirit, and celebrates the individuality of clients; and to create a culture that takes good care of both clients and their caregivers.
The Director of Operations must have good analytical, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills since he/she will act as mediator between different members of the Company staff and clients.
They must also have excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-oriented skills to work well with the elderly clients, the families of the clients and the Company staff.

Description
- The successful candidate will manage and oversee all operations including the coordination of patient care and the supervision of employees.
- The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Company's policies and guidelines in admitting clients to the facility. They will also manage financial matters including collecting debts and dealing with personal finances of those living in the facility. As manager of the center, the Director of Operations will screen/hire new employees, review staff performance, and oversee day-to-day operations in general. Ultimately, the Director of Operations’s goal will be to create a conducive work environment that ensures provision of the best-possible service.
- Make decisions on admission into the Company according to established company rules and guidelines. Ensure that the Company clients are receiving the care they are supposed to receive by: a) making sure all the Company shifts are appropriately scheduled and covered; b) performing sudden audits on rooms and other operating areas; c) receiving and resolving resident complaints and service recovery process; etc.
- Oversee the smooth running of the human resources and administrative tasks for the organization. This includes but is not limited to: a) designing job descriptions with key performance indicators (KPI) to drive performance management for the Company clients; b) assisting in the selection the Company directors and staff and processing all new hire paper works; c) ensuring the Company staff members are provided with uniforms and name tags and uphold property grooming standards; d) regularly holding meetings with key stakeholders to review the effectiveness of HR Policies, Procedures and Processes; e) ensuring effective, timely and accurate communications flow with regards to the Company policies and procedures; f) enforcing full compliance to the Company’s operating controls, standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, procedures, and service standards; g) identifying the developmental needs of the Company staff and providing coaching and mentoring to improve their knowledge or skills as required; h) responding to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved; i) reviewing employee performance and conducting personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations; j) performing wage scale surveys and ensuring employee wages followed by the the Company is consistent with industry salary guidelines.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment by checking stocks; placing and expediting orders; evaluating new products; ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and calling for repairs. Monitor maintenance process and FF&E (Furniture, Furnishings, and Equipment) conditions and provide status report to the CEO. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly property inspections to ensure that property, grounds, physical plant, and work areas are maintained to standard.
- Maintain (together with company accountant) accurate records including cash flows sheet, guest floor limit, accounts receivable (AR) Ageing reports, Direct billing etc.
- Build strong working relationships and communications with the Company management and staff to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of special event needs; and achieve the Company brand positioning and success through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid service and business results
- Assist the CEO in in all aspects of business planning and new client acquisition. Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
