Responsibilities
● Moderate Customer Reviews to ensure they meet all the review guidelines for the
website.
● Review and Validate Products with Production and Content Related Quality Return
Reasons to be escalated to the appropriate teams for resolution.
● QC-ing the descriptions for retail, Jumia Express & Official Store products listed on the
website to ensure all products have the right product naming convention, key features,
specifications, and rich product description with image-in-text.
● Ensure Product Content is improved routinely by updated product descriptions and rich
brand material from the supplier/brand.
● Routine Checks and cleanups for top-performing products in High Revenue generating
Categories to spot & escalate to the appropriate teams to treat.
● Develop unique content for New Products created across all categories.
● Escalate products that fall short of all country-level regulatory requirements to the
appropriate teams.
This individual should have the qualifications as listed below:
○ Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word
○ Basic Excel
○ Great Attention to detail: the ability to maintain accuracy despite the repetitive nature of the tasks
○ Ability to work under pressure
○ Good interactive skill
○ Attention to detail
Qualification & Experience
1. Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
2. Excellent command of written & spoken English Language.
3. Good command of MS Office & Excel
4. Details-oriented, problem-solving & good Communication skills
5. Experience doing research using multiple sources
6. Familiarity with web publications
7. Excellent writing and editing skills in English
8. Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress, SC, etc …)
9. Interests in Marketing, English, Journalism or a related field
