Our client, a reputable, fast-growing mining support services company, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a Mining Engineer background to drive business growth and expansion.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager with a strong Mining Engineer background to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the mining sector. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the mining industry, excellent business development skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and expansion in the mining sector.
2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, trends, and competitors in the mining industry.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, stakeholders, and partners in the mining sector.
4. Develop and submit proposals, tenders, and bids for new business opportunities.
5. Evaluate the technical and commercial viability of new business opportunities.
6. Identify and develop strategic partnerships with other companies, organizations, and stakeholders in the mining sector.
7. Meet or exceed annual revenue growth targets.
8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technical teams, to develop and implement business development strategies.
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field is an added advantage.
Professional Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales in the mining sector.
• Proven track record of success in driving business growth and expansion.
• Strong understanding of the mining industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Skills:
• Excellent business development, marketing, and sales skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an added advantage.
