Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and research within the salt mining or general industry. Proven experience in implementing and managing quality assurance programs in a mining environment. Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices related to salt mining. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in industry-specific tools and software. Specific certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma or ISO 9001.

Role Reports To: Head, Quality Assurance & Research A recognized leader in the salt mining industry, specializing in the extraction and processing of salt. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards across our operations. We are looking for an experienced Manager of Quality Assurance & Research with a strong background in salt mining to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Management: Implement and manage quality assurance protocols specific to salt mining and processing operations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Identify quality issues and collaborate with production and engineering teams to develop and implement corrective actions. Monitor product quality from extraction to final processing, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality benchmarks. Research & Development: Lead research initiatives aimed at improving mining processes, enhancing product quality, and exploring new applications for salt. Analyze industry trends, new technologies, and research data to recommend innovations in mining and processing techniques. Collaborate with the Head of Quality Assurance & Research to align research activities with company objectives. Ensure that research findings are effectively translated into practical applications in the field. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of quality assurance and research professionals, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed. Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide feedback to team members. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adherence to quality standards within the team. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all quality assurance activities comply with relevant industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of quality assurance processes, research findings, and compliance activities. Prepare reports and presentations for the Head of Quality Assurance & Research and other senior management.
