EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Minimum of MSLC/BECE qualified with ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic. • 5 years experience in driving and must have received defensive driving training in the past three years. • Knowledge of basic Trailer/Truck maintenance concepts is highly desired REQUIREMENTS • Possess high quality and safety awareness. • Should be strict on time management. • Knowledge of electronic devices to complete tasks such as scanning Delivery notes using phones, digitally completing road inspection of trucks, etc. • Possess high integrity • Foster driver and mate cordiality • Excellent communications skills • Knowledge of using containers or lashing belts

Our client, a leading logistics company is looking for an experienced individual for the role of a TRUCK DRIVER to support the company’s operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying goods from one place to another in heavy trucks, demonstrate passion for being an ambassador for the company, and would be required to render services in an efficient manner in line with the company’s way of driving by complying with the company’s health and safety standards throughout the year. He or she will also be responsible for the timely delivery of products on behalf of our valued customers.

He or she would undertake the following duties as well:

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle incoming and outgoing cargo by properly examining for defects, accuracy, and ensuring there is no damage


• Assist in loading and unloading trucks at client’s premises and their customers’ yards


• Perform daily inspection or checklist on truck using company app or Google sheet


• Ensure accurate completion of required paperwork for delivery, receiving, and returns process


• Ensure conscientious practice of safe work habits and processes


• Maintain both the inside and outside of the truck cleaned at all times


• Develop accurate complete journey management paperwork as per company requirement


• Report accidents/incidents as per company standards


• Ensure cargo to be transported is loaded safely onto the truck and securely Lashed if possible


• Ensure defects on trucks are immediately reported to the maintenance team


• Perform other duties as assigned
