Our client, a reputable manufacturing firm into production of Corrugated Packaging, is looking to recruit a Sales & Marketing Manager (Expats and Locals). The incumbent would manage the sales performance and resources in the business unit in order to achieve the agreed business plan targets.

Candidate will focus on servicing clients on the West African Terrain by providing packaging solutions.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• In conjunction with the Sales & Marketing team generate and implement a sales strategy


• Manage the implementation of the agreed sales plan and budget objectives


• Identify and co-ordinate improvements in quality and servicing, balancing the need to maintain margin and meet growing customer expectations


• Develop and maintain professional customer relationships to improve the flow of communication, understanding and increase loyalty to the business


• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the market (including competitor activity) to develop strategies that provide competitive advantage.

• Identify, negotiate, evaluate and recommend opportunities for partnerships that reach across multiple channels, to secure standout presence and reach excellent coverage, for integration across targeted markets


• Provide accurate short, medium and long-term forecasts as necessary


• Develop and maintain a sales team which meets current and future business needs


• Be able and willing to travel internationally at least once every month


• Perform export review and classification of customer deliverables daily.


• Acts as a point of escalation for complex, non-routine problems


• Design and implement all export strategies and activities and ensure adherence to all project requirements and prepare all export documents within required time frame and schedule.


• Identify appropriate transportation method in assistance with customers.


• Monitor all existing and prospective markets and assist to identify appropriate business opportunities.


• Monitor all sales transactions and review all customer response for all orders and payments and resolve all customer issues for processes and manage sales shipments.

To qualify for this role, you must have excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

You should also have the following:

• Graduate calibre


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales management experience


• A candidate with experience in the corrugated packaging industry in Ghana or any of the West African terrain is highly preferred due to the nature and technicalities of our industry.


• Candidate must speak and write French 100% and have the ability to also speak English fluently and write as well.


• Candidate must have key contacts within the West African Terrain to aid sales and customer acquisition.
