Insight HR Solutions is mandated by one of its clients to recruit a Regional Senior Marketing Manager for immediate employment. The office will be located in Accra.
Core Function:
- The role is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of regionally integrated, multi-channel, traditional and new media marketing plans and campaigns.
- They are also responsible for providing the advertising, sponsorships and promotional support necessary to achieve growth in brand equity and sales targets.
- Responsible for the media planning, channel mix recommendations, campaign budget planning and management, coordination and execution of the advertising, sponsorships and events to drive the image and positioning of the brand in all relevant markets.
- Also responsible for monitoring the ideation, planning and execution sponsorships and events, and ensuring that they are executed and implemented within the requisite brand and image guidelines, as well as ensuring that all communications channels are fully leveraged and to maximize awareness, and that external agency/vendor partners are managed to on time, on budget, effective delivery as agreed on all projects.
- The management and coordination of the Graphics Unit throughput is also a core responsibility.
- The role will also supervise a team which will support the management and measurement of the core functions. The team will evaluate results to ensure program objectives are met or surpassed.
- The role will lead and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders and leverage country insights to help develop long and medium-term integrated marketing strategies and relevant consumer focused communications.
- The role must manage and prioritize multiple integrated programs, requiring a high level of co-ordination and communication with multiple stakeholders across geographies, and the optimization of the talent of the team which he / she will select and manage.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver against the annual strategic plan and annual Marketing plan to support the achievement of business line and corporate goals and objectives. This includes:
• Liaising with creative and media agencies in the campaign development, production, implementation and execution of ongoing marketing initiatives
• The management of creative agencies, production and postal delivery suppliers with the mandate of driving cost efficiencies while maintaining brand, corporate ID and graphic standards;
• Overseeing the production of trade promotional material and disseminating same to the relevant internal and external parties.
• Ideation and development of approved initiatives to increase company and the business line’s presence in the media and public arena; collaborating with internal and external business line owners and partners
• Researching, negotiating and securing corporate presence in targeted and industry specific events.
• Maintaining consistency with image and branding that adds value to all sales activities
2. Media Management
• Understanding market media trends and effectiveness both at the traditional mass, digital and social media levels; providing feedback to external partners and internal business lines
• Coordinating media planning across the Group with a singular agency partner, for continuous share of voice and greatest market impact and to avoid product message conflicts and market saturation
• Coordinate with agency and partners the purchase of entitlements, packages and media buys for the Group to most effectively utilize advertising dollars, maximizing brand exposure and effectively engaging the target market.
• Measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of the advertising expenditure and adjusting plans in keeping with findings
• Identifying communications channels and media to complement the sales growth, brand recall and penetration strategies
• Spearhead and deliver on Brand Communication and Corporate Campaign initiatives
3. Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive and integrated merchandising strategy for proprietary locations/sales centers and well as guidelines for the retail sales network by:
• Maintaining and disseminating clear guidelines for display materials to support sales objectives, campaigns and periodic themes
• Ensuring communication of Group image and merchandising standards
4. Enable the effective and efficient management of advertising, sponsorship and promotional event activities through:
• Researching and tracking competitor positioning, messaging, advertising, promotions and other related activities and anticipating their future direction and action
• Remaining current with developments in the marketing arena and the advertising field to ensure that the Group’s corporate, product offerings and promotional campaigns are innovative and progressive
• Participating in the development and delivery of training materials, promotional materials and programs for the retail trade network
5. Internal and External Communication
• Ensure that sponsorships, events, promotions and programs are effectively communicated throughout the organization to ensure that staff members are fully aware and understand objectives, procedures, processes and their roles in the execution and success of the initiatives.
• Supporting the creation of dashboards, newsletters/updates and procedural guidelines for internal use and information.
