JOB OVERVIEW.
A dynamic and growing company in the tissue and sanitary paper production industry is seeking an experienced Production Technology Technician/Supervisor to join its plant operations in Ghana. The company is focused on delivering high-quality paper products across West Africa and is committed to adopting modern technology and process improvements to drive operational efficiency. The Production Technology Technician/Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the technical aspects of the production process, ensuring that production lines operate at peak performance and that product quality meets company standards. The role involves supervising daily activities on the shop floor, supporting process automation, and maintaining production systems and controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES.
Supervise daily production activities, ensuring alignment with production schedules and output targets.
Monitor and operate automated systems and equipment used in tissue and paper production.
Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Ensure adherence to product quality specifications, identifying and resolving deviations quickly.
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and quality assurance teams to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
Maintain detailed production and machine operation records, logs, and shift reports.
Assist in training and mentoring plant operators and junior technicians.
Monitor and troubleshoot production control systems, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
REQUIREMENT.
HND, BTech, or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Production Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in an industrial or paper manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or technical role.
Strong understanding of production automation systems, sensor technologies, and machinery interfaces.
Experience with continuous process manufacturing and control room operations.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, OEE tracking, and quality management systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to relocate to Ghana for a full-time position.
Must be a citizen of Nigeria with valid travel documentation.
