Description
- Manage the export and import processes
- Comply with customs and trade regulations
- Calculate and select the optimal logistics route with minimal cost
- Inspect and search cargo, baggage and individuals for smuggled items
- Seize prohibited goods
- Communicate with clients and customs officials regarding delays and potential issues
- Maintain knowledge of all current customs regulations and potential changes
- Coordinate with shipping and freight agents to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods
- Resolve customs-related issues or disputes
- Record and keep track of shipments, documentation, and payments
- Provide advice to clients on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, and other customs-related matters
