We are seeking a seasoned and strategic General Manager (Finance and Administration) to join our leadership team. As a key member of our management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the organization, driving financial growth, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Keeping proper accounting records of all monetary transactions and preparing draft financial statements for the attention of the External Auditors.
* Exercising effective controls over cash, inventory at stores and cash.
* Advising management on the right sources and effective and efficient uses of funds.
* Leading the preparation of the annual budget and advising management on the treatment of variances resulting from comparing actual operational figures and budgeted figures.
* Ensuring that the appointment of staff for the Group, their promotion, discipline and welfare are consistent with the Group's employment policy.
* Preparation of an Operating Manual for the Group.
* Ensuring the implementation of and maintenance of a robust payroll system.
* Implementing a training program that will be consistent with the Group's core value of excellence.
* Institute an effective motivation policy based on a clear identification of staff responsibilities, recognition and rewards.
* Provision of timely reports for management on the duties described above.
