Job Title:             ACCOUNT OFFICER

Job Overview:

The Accounts Officer is to assist in the day-to-day running of the accounts department in compliance with accounting principles and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for general ledger and maintaining financial records.


• Handling of accounts receivable and payables.


• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax law.


• Creating and processing invoices.


• Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy.


• Responsible for the end-of-month balance sheet reconciliation.


• Assist the finance manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.


• Weekly reconciliation of account receivables and payables.


• Filing and remitting of taxes, SSNIT, and other statutory obligations.


• Processing of outsourced staff payroll.


• Updating the Fixed Asset Register and assisting in the closing of end-of-month accounts.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.


• 2 - 4 years’ experience in an Accounting field.


• Organizational skills and ability to work with deadlines.


• Proficiency in MS Excel and Tally ERP software.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
