JOB OVERVIEW

A reputable drilling services company specializing in providing high-quality solutions for mining operations seeks an ideal candidate who has extensive experience in electrical maintenance and repair of equipment. The Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of electrical systems, ensuring efficient operations while adhering to safety, quality, and work standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promoting, adhering to, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental protection regulations and procedures.


• Utilizing prior auto-mechanical/auto-electrical trade knowledge.


• Cleaning, sweeping, and organizing the garage and parts.


• Performing manual handling duties.


• Operating and maintaining hand tools properly.


• Measuring accurately in an engineering application.


• Ensuring safe operation of power tools.


• Completing job cards for assigned tasks.


• Conducting primary and safety checks on automotive electrical systems.


• Requesting necessary parts from the workshop.


• Repairing alternators and starter motors.


• Applying advanced measurement techniques and skills.


• Performing primary fault-finding and component replacement in automotive electrical systems.


• Conducting wiring repairs on electrical systems.


• Understanding and implementing industrial electrical safety procedures.


• Installing basic automotive electrical circuits.


• Developing maintenance plans for electrical systems.


• Changing lamps and cable plugs in industrial electrical systems.


• Installing intermediate automotive electrical circuits.


• Designing intermediate-level automotive electrical circuits.


• Wiring full 220V light tower systems in advanced industrial electrical applications.


• Conducting advanced circuit installations in automotive electrical systems.


• Developing advanced maintenance plans.


• Utilizing MEX Maintenance Software for efficient workflow.


• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree/HND in Auto Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Technician Diploma.


• Minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience.


• Minerals Commission certification.


• Valid Driver’s License.


• First Aid training certification.


• Physical and medical fitness to perform duties effectively.
