The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for supporting all HR functions of the school (Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, Payroll, Staff Development, Induction and Orientation, managing the school’s staff data base and other duties that may be assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in disseminating company HR policies, procedures and benefits to employees
Participate in drawing up human resource and administrative policies
Assist in co-ordinating employee recruitment and selection processes
Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies
Responsible for scheduling and organizing interviews
Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants
Responsible for co-ordinating staff training sessions, workshops and activities
Maintain and update human resources records and ensure all employee data/files are accurate.
Recording and tracking of leave schedules
Provide advice and assistance when writing job descriptions
Involved in the orientation of new recruits
Assist in the preparation of the payroll as directed
Responsible for monitoring daily attendance across all the branches, including investigating causes for staff absence
Assist in conducting reference checks on new employees.
Design and recommend updates to HR related forms and documents as and when required
Support the organization during school related functions.
Assist in conducting exit interviews
Involved in promoting workplace safety
Undertakes workplace investigations when needed and must conform to standards of the labour law and employee manual.
Process staff claims submitted to the HR office
Involved in controlling the human resource and administration of company in terms of budgets, expenditure, seminars and others products and plans
Involved in report writing for the department
Participate in major departmental projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives
Undertake any other job/tasks assigned by the Human Resource Manager
