Job Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all accounts payable supporting documents for processing payment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Registration of all incoming payable source documents
2. Check all payable documents for correctness of initiation, approval and accuracy in both quantity and value of items supplied.
3. Submit all such documents for due process and accrual
4. Payment Processing:
a. Submit processed documents due for payment to Treasury Manager for direction to mode of payment
b. Prepare transfer letters to banks to effect transfers and/or write cheques for beneficiaries
c. Send cheques and/or letters to responsible officials for endorsement
d. Register all signed cheques in outgoing cheques register for release to beneficiaries
e. Update payables register by deleting all invoices paid
5. Perform bank reconciliation
6. Perform intercompany accounts reconciliation
