The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance. The role involves identifying potential hazards, conducting regular inspections, training staff on safety practices, and investigating incidents to prevent future occurrence.
Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures.
Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments across all work areas.
Ensure compliance with national health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Organize and lead safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and follow up on corrective measures.
Maintain and update safety documentation (reports, records, permits, safety logs).
Ensure all employees use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly.
Coordinate with management and supervisors to promote a strong safety culture.
Stop unsafe work activities when necessary and enforce safety regulations on site
