EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
• Working knowledge of credit management.

Description
Our client, an automotive service company has immediate employment for a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Accountant to help with the daily operations of the company.
ROLE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling financial statements, calculating tax payments and returns, communicating effectively with customers regarding credit matters, making critical financial decisions by analysing and interpreting accounting records and preparing comprehensive financial reports to help the company maintain strong customer relationships and attain financial success. He or she would perform the following additional duties:
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
- Analyse financial data, identify trends and provide insights to support decision-making with the use of Excel and other official tools.
- Contact customers for credit-related matters, including invoicing, collections and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain organised and complete financial records, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with financial audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting the audit process.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to explain financial information, answer queries and ensure clear and effective communication.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including but not limited to Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) requirements, and prepare and submit tax returns on time.
