The 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) represents a pivotal milestone in the global review of progress on gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the implementation of international commitments.

​Despite the existence of global frameworks and policy instruments, significant gaps persist in women’s access to power, leadership, and decision-making spaces, particularly within governance, diplomacy, economic systems, and multilateral institutions. Addressing these gaps requires not only advocacy, but strategic engagement by women leaders at the highest levels.

​In this context, Leading Women of Africa (LWA) is pleased to Africa 4 African Women and Girls Education Mission International, to lead an African delegation of women leaders to CSW70 and to invite you to participate in the International Women in Leadership (IWIL) Summit, a high-level Side Event convened at the United Nations Headquarters during CSW70.
