The negative image alternative medicine practitioners have received is due to lack of quality education and international exposure). The school, Dr. Nyarkotey Holistic Medical College is affiliated to Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca city, Cyprus.
The parent college is made possible because the Founder and Academic Dean of the Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Dr.
George J Georgiou, Ph.D.,N.D.,DSc (AM).,MSc.,BSc has been studying natural methods of health for over 25 years and has amassed degrees and diplomas in the biological sciences, clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, Su Jok acupuncture, energy medicine, iridology, sclerology, live blood analysis, thermography, clinical psychology and clinical sexology, along with a lot more training in other modalities of healing, as well as many research interests and publications.
Not only did he spend a lifetime studying all these topics in depth, but he has applied this knowledge by building a bespoke Holistic treatment center called the Da Vinci Holistic Health Centre in Cyprus that uses all these modalities and more and sees patients from all over the world, specializing in the treatment of chronic disease.
The Ghana school is under the name –Dr. Nyarkotey Holistic Medical College which is under the supervision of the Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca city, Cyprus.
Dr. Nyarkotey has conducted a lot of research with several publications in the field of natural medicine and prostate cancer with several awards.The programs to be offered in Ghana are individual Diplomas, Bachelors and Doctor of Science in Holistic Medicine.
All certifications are awarded by Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca city, Cyprus. The Da Vinci College also supervises and provides course materials for the program in Ghana.
The Ghana program is under the leadership of Dr.
Raphael NyarkoteyObu who is also a faculty member of Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca city, Cyprus with the academic rank of a research professor of Prostate Cancer and Alternative Medicine.
The aim of this program is to train experts in the field of alternative medicine in the country and improve the health delivery of the practice of alternative medicine. The Da Vinci College operates a modular degree system by which degrees are obtained via a process of credit accumulation.
As the practice of alternative is diverse depending on the jurisdiction; The Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine has applied to four different bodies in the UK and USA to comply with the high standards set down by the Commission.
It has been fortunate to have been accepted for membership to all of these bodies, and all students completing their studies at the Bachelor and Doctoral levels will be privileged to join either the CMA, UK and/or the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP), and/or the Pastoral Medical Association, USA and/or The Affiliation of Ethical and Professional Therapists, UK.
