BlueCrest College was conceived in 1999 as the front runner in IT Education and Training with the core objective of addressing the IT needs of Ghana. To value-add to its offerings of Certificates and Diplomas in ICT, BlueCrest College entered into an affiliation agreement with University of Education, Winneba.

Under this partnership, BlueCrest College started offering undergraduate degree programmes. The College had one Faculty at the onset – Faculty of Technology with only one Department – Department of Information and Communication Technology.

However in 2012 College, with a vision of offering wide range of programs in diverse fields, constituted one more faculty. Presently,the College has two (2) Faculties namely, Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Business and one School of Fashion & Design with a total of four (4) departments.

BlueCrest College is accredited by National Accreditation Board of Ghana as a Private Tertiary Institution. BlueCrest College is very popular among prospective applicants because of the diverse nature of programmes offered to students.

The College has an innovative and flexible approach towards academic instructions that incorporates multiple programme paths to suit their future aspirations. Though all programmes are directed at training students to become seasoned in their chosen field, they are also developed to promote self-employment as successful entrepreneurs and provide employment opportunities to the youth.
