GICTRAC (Ghana ICT Research Institute) is Ghana’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Research Centre of Excellence. We are a not-for-profit NGO engaged in the activities of research, research training, ICT professional training, and associated activities such as conference & workshop organization.

GICTRAC is a main organisation in Ghana dedicated to basic and applied research in the ICT, Telecommunications & allied technological sectors. GICTRAC is helping the Ghana government to build a sustainable technology sector mainly through research, training and associated activities through the application of science, mathematics and logical reasoning.

In the training of Research Higher Degree (RHD) students (i.e. Masters (both M.Phil.

& M.Sc.) & PhD/Doctoral students) in ICT, Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and allied areas, the students are enrolled with their home university while GICTRAC provides the supervision, and, if needed, office space and research facilities. GICTRAC networks with researchers in Ghana and abroad irrespective of their affiliation to support Ghana government’s accelerated development through ICT strategic plan.
