Centre for E-Governance
The centre for E-Governance, is registered with the Department of Social Welfare and the Registered General’s Department and incorporated as an independent non-profit making think-tank under the Ghana Companies Code of 1963, Act 1799. It's goals are: 1. To promote the use of ICT to better mobilize public opinion in support of national developmental goals with particular reference to poverty reduction, regional integration and revenue generation; 2.
To promote electronic distance learning, educational broadcasting and virtual learning systems to complement and support face-to-face campus based education & training systems. 3. To promote the use of ICT in the delivery of frontline e-government services to citizens and businesses. 4.
To raise awareness of the citizens and to empower rural communities with an equal opportunity to participate in the national economy and determine their own destiny and 5. To promote the efficiency of the Civil and Public Service to ensure that it plays a more proactive role in the economic and social development at all levels. .
