About us Founded in 2004, Imani is a non-political, non-profit, tax-exempt educational foundation. Imani seeks to thrive solely by contributions from private individuals, foundations, and businesses and by the sales of its publications.
Mission: To stimulate public discussion of the promotion of economic prosperity in Ghana and Africa through solutions such as property rights, the rule of law, open and unconditional trade,free speech and a decentralisation of power and resources. Vision: To educate and create a core of young scholars that will promote free enterprise, individual liberty, personal responsibility and voluntary action as ends of a free and prosperous society. Projects: Imani will strive to promote the institutions of a free society by facilitating student programmes on its vision.
The essence is to grow social and business entrepreneurs through educational outreach programmes, identify promising talents and feed them into the existing market scholarship networks where they will be equipped to develop it into their own undertakings. Simultaneously Imani will aim to stimulate public understanding of the following policy issues: The environment (land, water, pollution, etc.) and development.
Analyzing the impact of market approaches such as property rights, the rule of law and free markets Globalization and the benefits of trade liberalization as well as the obstacles to free trade in Africa Poverty eradication measures Health and Social Security issues from the standpoint of market solutions .
