Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The overall purpose of the Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to promote the economic growth and quality of life in Ghana. The chamber strives to provide a clear persuasive voice for the business community in governmental affairs.
It provides services designed to enable the public and private sectors to improve productivity and it promotes the Ghanaian Muslim Community as island of harmony and peace and prosperity; and to create and develop institutions which are capable of serving the Community in economic, educational, trade and investment, while providing membership services and networking opportunities for its members. • To strengthen closer collaboration in the field of trade, commerce, information technology, insurance/reinsurance, agriculture, shipping, banking, promotion of investment opportunities and joint ventures in Ghana. • To give due attention to studies, research and to encourage innovations and inventions in the areas of commerce, agriculture and industry. • To organize trade fairs and exhibitions for promoting goods and services; and to organise conferences, lectures and forums that would serve members and enhance co-ordination among them. • To strengthen connections with international organizations such as the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) and its specialized Institutions and international trade organizations with the objective of strengthening the role of the private sector in the socio-economic development process of Ghana. .
